We have been shooting with this Aimpoint 3X Magnifier on a LaRue Tactical QD Pivot Mount behind an Aimpoint T1 red. The Aimpoint Micro T-1 is a small red-dot optic that works very well. The Micro T-1 is a 1X (non-magnifying) parallax free optic with 4 night vision compatible settings and 8 daylight settings and a 4 MOA dot. One of the day settings is extra bright for use with laser protection glasses or in bright desert sunlight. Aimpoints 3X magnifying module is specially designed for military personnel, law enforcement, sport shooters and hunters. The Aimpoint Magnifier mounted with a LaRue Tactical QD Pivot Mount gives the shooter one hand operation, just grab the optic, pull back, and move it out of the way. Left handed set up of the LaRue Tactical QD Pivot Mount allows the sdhooter to bump it out of the way and back into place

http://www.opticsbuyersguide.net/Articles.php?action=detail&g=content1240404911

Aimpoint 3X Magnifier - Great option most of the time. It can get in the way in certain shooting positions. With quick detach and / or pivot mounts this magnifier can really extend the effective range of your firearm.

LaRue Tactical QD Pivot Mount - Solid, mount adds value to the magnifier Allowing it to pivot out of the way keeps your firearm effective at both close range and long distance. Right handed shooters, pull the magnifier back while left handed shooters push the magnifier forward. When pivoted out of the way of the optic, the magnifier offers a quick magnifier for the shooter by quickly tilting the firearm. However the optic also blocks the shooters non shooting eye which can be a deterrent when scanning for targets.

Aimpoint Micro T-1 - One of if not the best optic we have used for carbines like the AR15, AK47, 10-22, etc. Lightweight, solid, well built. The magnifier is not a small item, so along with a full size AImpoint optic, the rifle can get big and heavy. The Aimpoint Micro T-1 keeps a rifle light weight even with the magnifier

This is the gear we used at the Tucson, Arizona American Confederation of Tactical Shooters (A.C.T.S.) monthly match at Pima Pistol Club. This is a Eagle Industries / SKD Universal chest rig with an S.O.Tech Battle Load Carry System (BLoCS) Small Zippered Medical Pouch and an Army surplus magazine pouch (Desert camo). We shot an AK47 with VTAC sling and an S&W M&P 45 (dark earth). The chest rig held three 30 round AK47 magazines (it can hold 8 max) and two pistol magazines (four pistol mags max). Attached on the shooters left (right in photo) is the S.O. Tech BLoCKS Zippered Medical Pouch with a tourniquet and emergency bandage. On the shooters right (left in pic) is an Army surplus magazine pouch (Desert camo) with a Benchmade 155 SBK under half of it (behind pistol in pic)

We took a few minutes to make some quick videos on how magazine loaders work for various firearm magazines. We were loading magazines before a carbine training class and noticed we had a few different types of magazine loaders available to demonstrate. The AR15 / M16 Betaco (Beta C-Mag) Personal Loader the AR15 / M16 LULA loader, the AK47 LULA loader, and the UpLULA universal pistol magazine loader. Not Shown, the AR15 / M16 Betaco (Beta C-Mag) speed loader

Ted Marshall's reputation as the premier AK builder and AK gunsmith proceeds him in collectors circles.

Some of us go beyond the mere pleasure of shooting the AK47 and delve into the never ending quest to collect the accurate parts to eventually build the ultimate historical recreation of our favorite version of the AK47. When you get to that point you are paying more for an upper handguard than most people pay for entire rifles. You're traveling 2 days out of your way to visit a shop in a town that you heard might have the magazine pouch you need to hold the mags for that rifle.

When you reach this point you look to just one person to build your AK, Ted Marshall

We built and now maintain the Marshall Arms website
