Question:    I have a Colt 0.36 Caliber Revolver 1839 & 1851, engraved by Colt. I need to sell it.
Answer:  The good news is that your revolver is defined as a curio or relic. (ie. firearm manufactured before 1898 per the BATFE.) This is good news for you because it makes selling the revolver easier and appealing to collectors of firearms and antiques. Your best bet is to contact local gun shops, antique stores and hit a gun show or two until you find someone willing to pay what you are willing to accept. Another option is to advertise in the local paper or weekly classified paper.(assuming that they allow you to advertise firearms)

During my 22 years of instruction at Lassen College in Susanville, California, I have taught various armorer courses to hundreds of law enforcement personnel. Officers from as far away as Australia and Scotland have traveled to Susanville to attend classes.

The courses I teach vary greatly and include instruction on basic gunsmithing, single and double action auto pistols, all types counter-sniper rifles, all types double action revolvers, full autos, and assembly of gas operated guns.

I have taught California Department of Corrections staff, Arizona Department of Corrections staff, as well as armorers employed by the Federal Correctional System.
