Question: I am a "newbie" and have a question regarding the correct position of the piston in the Saiga .410, that has the AK47like action. The piston has a solid end, and a hollow end. Which way is the correct installation? Thanking you in advance,

Answer: I can not picture what you mean.. the gas piston is not usually removed and if we are talking about the gas piston it would be obvious which end is which sinne one end threads into the bolt carrier and the otehr end looks like a piston in an engine..
Are you asking about some part of the bolt?
