Question: Hi,
I'm in Helmand Province, Afghanistan working for a PSC. We're trying to get our local hires up to speed on their IA drills for the AK. They're fair shots but tend to panic when the weapons (some of which are 30 plus years old) fail to fire, extract, etc.
One line of thought is that if a man understands how his weapon functions, he'll possible have some idea of what could have gone wrong when it has failed to work properly.
Pictures are worth a thousand words. I'm looking for a line on a downloadable series of pictures that show the AK cycle of function (firing, unlocking, extracting, ejecting..). Would appreciate being pointed in the correct direction to find the same. Many thanks.
All the best,
