AK Gas Block
Question:  I'm working over a Norinco Hunter and need to remove the gas block to install a rear sight block and lower handguard retainer. Without a press, can I safely heat the gas block and drive it off?

Thanks
JJ

Answer:  no, it's been done without fancy tools.. but it is very hard to do

I would not even give it a try, you'll ruin a perfectly good rifle IMO

The rear sight block is not just a part you switch out.. it's part of the trunion / barrel / receiver

sounds like a gunsmith job to me
