I really like this weapon. The fit and finish is impressive for the price. I was surprised at the accuracy, especially considering the poor cheekweld and shortened sight radius. The muzzle blast is impressive as well!! When I purchased the AMD, I had planned to modify it with a Tri rail handguard and a red dot, but after a bit of use I'm leaving it as is. This model is really worth a look for those who don't want to spend a fortune. |

Compact, surprisingly accurate, muzzlebrake works pretty well at reducing recoil and muzzle rise. |

I own what are considered to be some of the best made AK 47 types (Poly Tec, Arsenal, Zastava) but none of them exhibit finer manufacturing than my AMD 65s. My expensive Arsenal SAM 7 A1 shows considerable errors in the milling process (said to be normal by the mfg. after returning it for examination) but the AMD 65 shows none. Considering the prices of the other brands, the AMD 65 is a SERIOUS bargain. |

30 rd. magazine has slight interference with forward hand grip when inserting and removing. Folding stock cheek weld not the best but VERY usable considering the utility of the stock. |

Easy kit build if you can use files, bench grinder, small drill press. Extremely accurate and reliable rifle for having such a short barrel. Cheek weld is awkward but not painful.
