The Rolls Royce of imported AK's. If you are looking for the best and are willing to pay the money, Poly Tech is your answer. I was tired of the junkie stamped receivers and low quaility found with most AK's. I have owned Maadi's and the like, but this is hands down the best AK I have owned. I sold the rest and bought the best. |
| Pros: |
Fit and finish is better than seen on most other AK's. Wood and metal finish are excellent for a Chinese military purpose rifle. |
| Cons: |
Price is now climbing past the $1,500 mark for non-fired or lightly used Poly Tech rifles. |

i have been looking for one of these for a couple of years, found mine at a gun store while browsing.the owner said he would sell me one of his from his own stockpile of several legends and stamped 56s if i was serious and had the cash,i picked out a new in the box fixed stock compleat with all the assc, including the early long blade bayonet and three premium mags with chrome followers and the slant style brake in the new but yellowed box with the glossy full colored manual included.as i have several other ak shooters-type 56,wasr,hungarian feg mak 90 etc.this is my new safe queen. |
| Pros: |
solid well made ak. |
| Cons: |
typical bad ak ergonomics and price most would balk at and by romy wasr instead. |

The Polytech Legend series of AK's is pretty much the cream of the crop. Sure, you can go out and get yourself a cheapy variant for $350 - $475, but as they say, "you get what you pay for". The Polytech AK is perhaps the best investment I've made of several AK rifles. Hasn't let me down once ever. |
| Pros: |
Very well built with excellent tolerance levels during factory production. |
| Cons: |
Definitely not on the light side when compared to AR-15's. |
