The MISR-10 typically has a bolt carrier group with a floating firing pin, so dry-firing it isn't much threat with no spring to break. Because of the black enamel paintjob on both the exterior and the bolt carrier, charging it initially is sometimes sluggish. This rifle accepts high-capacity magazines as well as Romanian 75rd drums, but will not accept Chinese drums. Some MISR rifles will have ground-down bayonet lugs and a barrel end with a diameter too small to be threaded. If you want to put a barrel attachment on some of these guns, they'll have to be tackwelded on. It may also be possible to fabricate a new bayonet lug.
Overall, it is a dependable, reliable weapon that is just as easy to modify, refinish or refit to suit the shooter as any other AK variant available. |
| Pros: |
Accepts high-capacity magazines and is as modular as any other AK rifle |
| Cons: |
MISR-10 piston chambers are sometimes slightly cocked to one side, but ths has no adverse effect |

Throw away weapon that WILL fire under ANY conditions bar none. If the barrel is not plugged it will fire. Easy to maintain under field conditions and simple to operate. Stamped receiver, plastic pistol grip, but it sure does shoot!! Able to put in the hands of a novice shooter for first time with an AK and produce 6 inch groups all day long at 100 yards with open sights. It may be cheap and crude but it will fire when you need it dirty or not. |
| Pros: |
Cheap, functions under all adverse conditions, cheap ammo, mags. Easy to maintain. Reasonable accuracy at 100 yds. |
| Cons: |
Poor attention to details by assemblers. Mine has virually little or no bluing. Crude. Mass production seems to be No.1 goal over quality. |
