Would rather go to war with this than ANY AR! U.S. parts switchout, ultimak rails, telestock, Chinese mags (the ONLY good mags!:-), an EOtech w/NV cap., NV/infrared (LAM) cap., vector flash hider, SAWgrip and several other mods (inc. the CORRECT way to employ a sling) and i'll take on just about ANYONE within 100 yds. It AIN'T the amt. of rds., it's accuracy! It'll put 'em dead on & keep 'em there, REAL QUICK!! Beats livin' hell outta half the AR's & ALL HK's anywhere. You gonna stack your life on your gun? I will. Absolutely nuthin' is perfect, but this is about as close as i figger i need/can get. Too bad our country suffers from terminal NOD disease in the highest echelons. It's gonna be our downfall one day. Hide'nwatch. 'nuff said. |
| Pros: |
Round outclasses 5.56 hands down, period. Excellent pointability, smooth trigger throughout pull w/clean break. Takedown/cleaning factor: 10/10. Parts repair/replacement: 10/10. Multi-hazard environment reliability: 20/10 !! Cost vs. reliability: until lately: 20/10. Now: 10/10. Found everywhere, made by everyone! Designed as short-range meat-grinder w/very few peers. Until recently: highly underrated; has been/is outstanding in all serious catagories. Aftermarket parts/gunsmithing now widely available ('bout time!.) Customizing, too. |
| Cons: |
Still not AR accurate, designed as short-range meat-grinder w/very few peers. Slower mag changeouts (MGI the exception.) Receiver cover not solid/stable enough for rails. Not all variants equiped w/side mounts for rails. Front/rear sights need redesign. Safety needs redesign to function as AR does. Needs rock-solid, side-fold stock w/o high cost on milled variant!! Needs HEAVY (BULL) barrel variant with equal quality accessories as AR. |
